This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to professional fees charged by Shares Recovery Expert for share recovery consultancy and documentation assistance. It does not automatically apply to third-party costs paid to RTAs, companies, depositories, notaries, couriers, or government portals.
1. Free consultation
Initial enquiries and basic consultations may be free as communicated on our website. Free consultations do not create a paid engagement and are not eligible for refund claims.
2. When fees become payable
Paid work begins only after we discuss your case and you agree to the scope and fee. Fees may be charged as a fixed professional fee, milestone-based fee, or as otherwise agreed in writing / recorded communication.
3. Cancellations by you
- Before work starts: If you cancel before we begin document preparation or filing coordination, any advance may be refunded after deducting administrative costs already incurred (if any), as confirmed with you.
- After work has started: Fees for work already performed (document drafting, follow-ups, filings prepared, coordination completed) are generally non-refundable.
- Partial refunds: In suitable cases, we may offer a partial refund or credit for unused portions of the engagement, at our discretion and based on progress.
4. Cancellations / inability to proceed by us
If we are unable to take up or continue your matter (for example due to conflict, incomplete authority, or impracticality after review), we will inform you and refund any unused advance related to unperformed work, after adjusting documented costs already incurred on your instructions.
5. Non-refundable situations
Refunds are typically not available when:
- Documents submitted by you are incomplete, incorrect, or delayed, causing the case to stall.
- An RTA, company, IEPF Authority, depository, or court rejects or delays a claim for reasons outside our control.
- You withdraw after substantial work has been completed.
- Third-party charges (stamp paper, notary, courier, DP / RTA fees, government fees) have already been paid.
6. Third-party charges
Amounts paid to third parties on your behalf or by you directly are subject to those parties’ rules and are usually non-refundable through us once paid.
7. How to request a refund
Email sharesrecoveryexpert@gmail.com with your name, phone, payment reference, and reason. We aim to respond within 7–10 business days. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method or another mutually agreed mode within a reasonable period after approval.
